Riley Nelson, a successful author from Boston has found himself trapped in a seemingly robotic lifestyle. His recent text exploring human behavior has him on a promotional book tour ending in Vancouver, British Columbia. Interested in his subject matter of his lecture and the man behind it, Ms. Andrea Powell finds herself entranced by his intellect and mannerisms. By a "chance encounter" Riley and Andrea meet at the hotels bar where they strike up a conversation regarding their views on human behavior (a common topic of interest between them). Riley is too enchanted by the spontaneity of Andrea and discovers through her what it is to find excitement. However for Riley, the consequences of modern society are still right around the corner.
